Duquesne blog

Good news

I am accepted to Duquesne University. I am excited to go to college.

It all started when I met Colton and Dr. Alia Pustorino at the State of the Art Conference in Reno, NV.

I had planned to visit Pittsburgh and Duquesne University in March. The trip was cancelled due to COVID-19. So, I did a virtual tour online. I was able to met some Duquesne University students on a Zoom call. I was able to ask a lot of questions. Some of my new friends shared pictures of their favorite places on campus. Here are some of the pictures.

This first picture is from McKenna. One of her favorite places on campus by the flowering tree. Pink is my favorite color.

Mina share a picture of her on one of the University walkways. I can see some of the buildings in downtown Pittsburgh.

Nathan shared a winter picture of the Academic Walk on campus. Hmmmm….it looks like Pittsburgh gets snow. I wonder if there is any downhill skiing close by? I enjoy downhill skiing.

Catherine share a picture of friends going to a dance. I enjoy music and dancing.

COVID-19 is causing some uncertainty about the fall. I may start classes through distant learning to stay safe.

I am excited about learning and meeting new people. Go Dukes!

Welcome to the Duquesne family. You are a perfect match. Colton says “can’t wait to give you a tour in person”

  2. Congratulations, Jean! That is so exciting! I remember the excitement of getting accepted to a University: all the plans, and packing, new friends, and new things to learn and see! I’m glad you’ll have the option of distance-learning until it’s safe to go in person. Again, Congratulations!!
