Daily writing prompt
What quality do you value most in a friend?

My close-knit circle of friends from my home in Minnesota has consistently shown me unwavering kindness and respect.

I have a wonderful friend at Orono High School who truly respects my boundaries. While they did try to hug me, I didn’t feel comfortable with it at that moment as I just needed some time and space. Also, I didn’t hear back. While in college, I deliberately kept my distance from my friends for an extended period. Subsequently, I made a point of returning home to visit my family.

I fully trust my friends from 6 years ago to be my absolute best friends. They consistently stick around through both the good and the bad times. They not only make it okay for me to be sad but also provide nonjudgmental support when I’m upset. I deeply value their unwavering support when I’m suffering from overwhelming distress,
